NOTE:Registration for classes and activities is on a first come - first served basis. Registration is confirmed with payment. Designated classes and activities may be opened to other guilds and the public six weeks before the event if space permits.

General Activities
September 9, 2010, 10 am, Kelly Gorsline will talk about preparing your quilt for a longarm quilter. After lunch, Poinsettia centerpiece workshop by Shirley Moore. Bring a bag lunch.
Supplies:
Green fabric 1 yd - You will need enough (4) 13" squares
Red fabric 1 ½ yds - You will need enough for (4) 13" squares and 1/2 yd for petals
Batting – enough for 4 – (13” squares). A thin batting will work better for turning the circles
Thread for topstitching on red fabric. Marking pen or pencils, tool for turning. Rotary cutter, mat, rulers, sewing machine, etc.
Shirley will provide templates for circles and leaves.
October 12 - 13, 2010: Proposed EMQG Bus Trip to New Hampshire
Leave Athens area 7 am on Tuesday, Return approx. 9 pm on Wednesday. Price: $215 p.person double occupancy; $255 single
Tuesday:
meal/comfort stop en route - cost on own
4 pm - check in at Fireside Inn, Gilford, NH
5 pm - off to Kellerhaus for homemade ice cream, fudge, piano player, gifts, lakeside view from the deck
6:15 -- dinner at Hart's Turkey Farm
8 pm - return to inn
Wednesday:
breakfast at the inn and check-out
9 am - head for Keepsake Quilting at Centre Harbor (quilt shop with over 12,000 bolts of fabric, needle arts, yarn shop, etc.)
1 pm - board bus to head home
Comfort stops and meals en route on your own for cost.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to make this trip a "go," we must have 40 signed up. Julia will need a firm head count before the September guild meeting. Send a $50 deposit to Julia by September 1 to reserve your spot, after that it will be opened to the public. Please consider joining in, as we may not be able to organize another until we find another source of transportation (Sheraton Bus Service will be closing their business at the end of this year).
